Kind Essen: A Comprehensive Nutrition App for Parents
Kind Essen is a free mobile application developed by Stiftung Kindergesundheit for Android users. The app provides scientifically sound information and advice for parents to ensure their toddlers' optimal nutrition. It offers a wide range of features to make family health management effortless, including personalized profiles for one or more children, a photo diary, a timeline with personal data for each child, nutrition and weight checks, memo function, search for keywords, voice recordings, and many more.
The app provides age-appropriate nutritional information, recipes for toddlers, tips for healthy growth, allergy information, and guidance on how to promote children's health. The app is based on the recommendations of the Gesund ins Leben network, an IN FORM initiative of the Federal Government. The Bavarian State Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Forestry (StMELF) supports the app as a partner.
The app is suitable for parents who want to plan their family's nutrition, exercise, infant health, preventive checkups, and immunizations effectively. It also allows parents to create a digital diary for their children and document their progress with photos. The app is easy to use, free of ads, and always available offline.
